1984

although this is my first post, i am sorry for its shortness as i really don't have much time to elaborate right now..
as all of you here are, according to me, good writers and precisely, good readers. so i thought it would be important on my part to let you know of the book that i have read recently and appreciated.
so i recommend you should read this book called '1984'. its by George Orwell.
its amazing, if you ask me.. and am pretty sure you will say the same after you read it.. basically the book was written in 1949. so its the author's imagination of the world in the year 1984, when the privacy of the citizens is lost as the ruling party/ government controls each and every mode of information so regularly that even if what the party says today is the opposite of what it said yesterday, you have no evidence to prove it; since all the printed data has been altered almost instantaneously.
thats just a part of it. the negativity of the whole system is so convincing that the book is still a must read. besides lots of things imagined in the book such as the government's control over the people's perspectives is seen even in today's world.
i am not sure if i have described the book properly so as to make it appear worth reading, but trust me, this book is awesome. and ya, its not more than some 350 pages (!). so you could give it a try.
if someone does end up reading it, please tell me how you found it.

Writing & Me???No way!!!

Hii...This is my first blog..So m very nervous a.w.a. excited as to wat should i write...I never thought i would be writing an article. Well, writin is not my forte,so expressing views on any topic didn't seem to b a good idea.,.but after scratching head 4 many days,i tht why not write abt the most awaited event of the month...-THE LOK SABHA ELECTIONS....
Everybody knows tat the elections are near & so has all the parties geared up 4 it. Every newspaper,newschannel hv the common news--the elections & whereabts of all the parties.
All say tat the youth must vote to bring the change, the youth must get invloved. I do agree that it is our moral responsibility to vote 4 welfare n benefit of our country, but who shall we vote??????...
Newspapers contain only 1 heading-The formation of new parties,their allies, new fronts,the resignations,etc,.There r so many divisions. I think its beyond the capacity of human brain to remember all these parties & their full names. I don't recall their shortforms either... There's so much confusion.(If anybody has a sound knowledge of this,plz मुझे भी समझाओ .Atleast it 'll help me vote)
Then comes the hate speech of Varun Gandhi..Everybody wants to come into limelight.The promises,which hardly become a reality, proving others wrong,etc,. Our politics has so much Drama n controversies, its no less than a typical masala hindi film... how much do we know these people, is a big Q??? n how many people actually work for society,only God can ans..
Well, lets hope the best party comes to power & help India progress.GOD bless India..

Above is a short poem from one of my favorite writers J R R Tolkien. You can always google for its meaning. The thing here is the language. The language is Nevbosh which literally means ( in that language) new nonsense. It was invented by Tolkien. you can always find out more about Tolkien's languages here. As you can see Nevbosh replaced animalic which was just a code. Well, all the languages we speak are just codes. Some are short, others are very long. Some can be easily decoded, others may create confusions (for example, "I like you"). Over time it happens that the complex ones give way to easier ones like the way it happened with Sanskrit. Now we chat and talk through sms. So are we creating a new language or is it just a diversion?
Enough with the serious talk. We are here for the group blog and let's stay focussed on that (sorry for the jump). Not being a big fan of writing I know how long it takes to write ten sentences for a guy who's not fond of writing, especially when it's not a copy-paste. Without the math or the stopwatch, I can say that it takes me about ten-fifteen minutes to write five lines while on my own. But when copying I think I take about five minutes for five lines. For this I used an alarm clock. But if I use the 'apparent speed' theory of time, I see that it takes me less than a minute (apparent) to write on my own, while it takes about an eternity(again apparent) to copy-paste. But this post seems to take many eternities together. Really, I didn't know that it could take this long to write so little. Oh God, when will I finish? While it would seem another eternity, I would love to finish within next ten minutes. God, there are already so many eternities in here. I wish we could go back in time. If we could do it then we could also go forward. Then this would all be over in a flash. Does anybody want a drink? Okay, let's go. We'll come back soon........

21 Something

Its exams coming up, submissions going on, to-be-completed-files have piled up and here I am oblivious to all that, writing a post to this group blog : ) The reason to come up with this Group Blog doesn't exist :P Its just for fun and for most of you, this can be a great discovery of yourself which can further lead to you setting up a blog of your own.

So all we 21 something will hang out in this cool budd(y)ing place and contribute to the blog, say another adding up to the list of Orkut and Facebook. (Think before you say -'nah, we dont want another place to hang out'-, cos u gonna love this more than any Orkut or any Facebook!)

Now, as you can see I have almost completely decided to ruin my exams! :) And being the Editor for this blog I'm going to have hell of jobs to be carried out ! ! :) 

Now, prepare yourself for the shoot and get yourself grooved in the youth portal :)
